Social and Emotional Learning Landscape Scan

In this landscape scan, Youth Development Executives of King County (YDEKC) inventories the systems, strategies, and practices in place to support whole child outcomes across the whole day in the Road Map Region of King County.

The Social and Emotional Learning Landscape Scan is guided by a “whole child” approach which weaves social, emotional, and academic skill development together in an environment that is welcoming, supportive, and inclusive for all youth. A whole child approach acknowledges that learning happens across the “whole day,” and recognizes that families, schools, expanded-learning providers, and community members must work together to build an integrated system of supports for youth.
