SYFC is a refugee-led, ethnic minority organization serving King County residents for over a decade. SYFC's mission is to provide essential services to Somali and other under-served communities. SYFC was founded by a group of immigrant and refugee families that felt their needs were not being met through mainstream programs. This group organized and volunteered their time to address the needs of individuals and families within their community. For more than a decade, SYFC has been founded on mobilizing and ensuring that the needs of our communities are met. Our services include a robust housing program, afterschool and in-school education programs spanning three cities in South King County and advocacy and community engagement to empower our community.
