Clark County Latino Youth

Our mission is to motivate youth to pursue a higher education or technical career, seek opportunities, and engage in positive behaviors. Our hopes and aspirations center around three foundational concepts: fuerte y poderoso (strong and powerful), abogac­a (advocacy), and la familia primero (family first). We work to create a community where youth and their parents are agents of change with the social capital and community support to achieve their goals and support their families. As strong and powerful advocates, our LatinX youth and families will be better equipped to navigate systems, mentor others, and address inequities. We know this work is complex, and our approaches work to balance values of family, strength, and connection.
