CAIR-WA's mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
Our Civil Rights department counsels on behalf of Muslims and others who have experienced religious or employment discrimination, school bullying, or hate crimes. Our advocacy and media departments work with activists, youth leaders, and government officials to ensure just policies and accurate portrayals of Muslims.
Lastly, our organizing and programs department which hosts all of our youth programs, empowers youth through civic engagement and social justice work. Our work leads to greater representation for Muslims, and inspires our youth to be civically engaged and politically active in their communities.
