Program Overview
After-School Writing offer students ages 6-18 in-person and virtual opportunities to write and tell their stories. Students also have the opportunity to work together in writing and storytelling clubs, focus on individual projects, and learn from visiting guest writers, artists, and experts. Our overall approach, along with focused activities, nurtures emotional awareness, elevates creative voice, and builds a strong community.
Our Program Managers are experienced educators practicing Social and Emotional Learning and the tenets of Growth Mindset. They draw on the whole of the Fearless Ideas community, which includes the active participation of families and the help of trained volunteers. Ultimately, the success of our After-School Writing Programs rely on students who bring a genuine desire to learn and a commitment to be kind, creative, and fearless.
Health & Safety
We do not require masks, though some students, volunteers, and staff will wear them. We continue to encourage people who are sick, either with COVID or a cold, to stay home to keep everyone safe.
