Program Overview
Northgate Elementary in conjunction with Seattle Parks & Recreation Department sponsors the Northgate READS/COUNTS program which is an enrichment program designed to enhance the reading and math skills of 2nd -5th-grade students who attend Northgate Elementary School.
The Northgate READS/COUNTS student program is only available for invited students each session in grades 2-5.
This FREE program runs up to 32 weeks each school year. By invitation only provides:

This FREE program runs up to 32 weeks each school year. By invitation only provides:
- Creative reading instruction from teachers for 2nd-3rd grade students (Mondays/Tuesdays)
- Targeted math instruction for 4th-5th grade students (Tuesdays/Thursdays)
- Homework assistance with volunteer tutors (Mon/Tues/Thurs)
- Fun Wednesday and Thursday enrichment classes, including Stem, sports cooking, and dance
