YOUTH WHO ARE
Parents of participating children must already be fluent Salish speakers or agree to attend evening and weekend Salish language classes.
Program Overview
Our Salish immersion cultural program serves 45 Native American children in kindergarten through 8th grade. Students receive instruction in all of their core subjects in Salish. All students receive expanded care and instruction through our full-day program running from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm with tutoring and counseling as needed. In addition to providing strong academic support, we offer students year-round arts and athletics enrichment ranging from piano lessons to soccer, theater to equestrianism. We also provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks daily for all students. Our students learn Salish along with their parents in order to strengthen intergenerational connections and systems of support.
