Program Overview
Greater Destiny Church (GDC), Korean Women's Association (KWA), and MultiCultural Child & Family Hope Center (MCFHC) are co-hosting virtual classes called Teens for Destiny. Each month on Wednesday early evening, there is a class for younger teens (12 - 15 years old) and older teens (16 - 19 years old). We provide education, group exercises, and mentoring related to: 1) Social/ Emotional Wellness/ Reflective Communication Skills 2) Practical Life Skills for School, Jobs, and Life 3) Leadership Development related to Equity & Social Justice 4) Preventative Health & Wellness Education (Nutrition, Getting Enough Exercise, Getting Enough/ Regular Sleep, Seeing Doctor Regularly, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, etc) While the emphasis is on support for BIPOC teens, Teens for Destiny is for all teens in Pierce County.

In response to COVID-19, we are providing:
- These training sessions via Zoom
- COVID-19 safety care packages
- Phone Based Care Coordination assistance to help participants access health care, food, housing, child care, employment, etc
