Program Overview
EYFO's Summer Leadership Academy provides 8 weeks of full-time summer programming for elementary school low-income youth of color. This programming includes academic support, leadership development, educational field trips, and exposure to physical outdoor enrichment activities to develop and expound youth interests and build social connectedness.
We bring in weekly, succesful career speakers of color to speak to youth to encourage and inspire them. Each summer all of our youth participate in an outdoor service project that they design themselves as a way of giving back to their community.

We also take youth on weekly field trips, most of which engage the youth outdoors. At the end of the summer, we take youth on an overnight camp at Warm Beach and a backpacking trip.
