The Black Muslimah Collective (BMC) is a cohort style program that is centered around the Black Muslim girl’s* experience. In BMC, Black Muslim girls* between the ages of 14-18 years old are able to authentically be themselves and share a space that holds their intersecting identities.

The Black Muslimah Collective (BMC) is a cohort style program that is centered around the Black Muslim girl’s* experience. In BMC, Black Muslim girls* between the ages of 14-18 years old are able to authentically be themselves and share a space that holds their intersecting identities.
BMC consists of group facilitated discussions, supporting community members through outreach and volunteerism, as well as spiritual retreats, field trips, and mentorship activities. The program will mainly focus on facilitated discussions that will occur bi-weekly. Discussions are an opportunity to discuss different topics that impact or interest the cohort such as faith and empowerment.
Open to 14-18 year-old girls* of color who live in and / or go to school in Seattle. This is a mostly digital program, where we meet via Zoom.
Participants get a weekly snack allowance of $10 per week / $40 per month!

Health & Safety
COVID Protocols for in-person meetings: Weekly, we meet online through Zoom to discuss topics that pertain to Black Muslim Girls. There will be occasional opportunities to meet in person.
Masks should be worn over the nose and mouth the entire time
Everyone present will have their temperature taken
Social distancing protocols will be in practice
Meetings will most likely be held in outdoor spaces for better ventilation
