Program Overview
A time for kids ages 5-10 to get together outdoors to create STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) masterpieces and play games.
This event takes place outdoors in our warmer seasons. We also have a virtual option for our colder months, please see our website for winter schedule and registration information!

Please note:
- Supplies and space for this program are limited to 15 people. Please be sure to individually register every child you will bring who is going to participate in the activity.
- The event will be outdoors and participants should prepare for being in the sun/the current weather. In the event of inclement weather (excessive heat, smoke, rain, etc. the event will be cancelled, note there is a virtual option for this program on Thursdays at 4pm.)
- There will be limited seating for this outdoor event. There will be some chairs for adults though!
Health & Safety
Programs will be outdoors, but program participants may go inside for books or the facilities. Masks required in library buildings (5 and older).
Following Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department's directive and the State of Washington's order, the Pierce County Library Library System requires the public and staff, regardless of vaccination, to wear masks to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Children ages 2-4 are strongly encouraged to wear a mask per the Department of Health. Also, per public health directives, masks are required outdoors where physical distancing isn't possible.

The Library System expects that all participants in Library virtual events and classes follow the Library Rules of Conduct. If an individual does not follow the Rules of Conduct, the library has the right to ask that individual to leave the virtual program.
