Program Overview
Fitness Konnekt is a Millennia Ministries program focused on providing youth in marginalized neighborhood with healthy and positive outdoor experiences and activities that are COVID safe, distanced and structured.
The program is for neighborhood and apartment complex youth who might not otherwise have access to organized outdoor recreation and fitness classes. Our priority youth are BIPOC, RIM who love hip-hop music and hanging out who are often viewed as a gang "up to no good" in the parking lot. The twice weekly fitness class uses certified Instructors and up-tempo family friendly hip hop dance to lead 45-minute LIIT (low impact and intensity training) for youth ages 4 to 20.
This class combines positive esteem firming messaging, popular music, and easy hip hop movements to bolster neighborhood unity, positive social connections, and physical fitness. Healthy snacks, bottled water, fruit, popsicles and participation prizes are available at the end of the event.

STAFF TO YOUTH RATIO
2 staff for every 20 youth
Health & Safety
Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer will be available to all program participants. Appropriate social distancing protocol will be followed.

Snacks, beverages/water w ill be provided to the program participants at the end of each session.
Accessibility & Location Details
This program regularly takes place at different locations.
Wiggums Hollows Park Site is located in North Everett and will take place every Friday. 11AM-12PM.
Each session every child will be given a laminated card with snack recipe on one side and inspirational quote on other side. They will be encouraged to practice their quote throughout the week and also practice choosing healthy snacks at home when hungry.
At the end of each 3 week cycle each child that has memorized the quote will earn a small prize.
