Program Overview
Through the Post-Secondary Success Program (PSSP), ReWA provides one-on-one assistance for eligible refugee youth ages 16-17 with every aspect of college and career planning. Two full-time coaches assist youth to realize their post-secondary dreams, identifying goals, developing action plans, visiting to college campuses, applying for financial aid, charting a career pathway, and supporting students in the transition from high school to post-secondary education.
Coaches also offer support in finding employment upon graduation and refer participants to support services and resources as needed. Coaches often work alongside a program participant for as much as four years, supporting them through graduation, finding a job, and eventually being able to support themselves and their family.
