YOUTH WHO ARE
Friendship Circle serves elementary and middle school youth who experience developmental disabilities and their siblings and who live in south Seattle and south King County. Our hybrid program engages youth in social-emotional learning online and in person through monthly field trips.
Program Overview
Friendship Circle is a youth engagement program where participants develop positive social emotional well-being, self-sufficiency skills, and self-advocacy through friendship and music. Friendship Circle provides quality educational, recreational, social, and emotional activities to culturally/linguistically diverse youth and their families. It serves youth 5 to 13 years old who have IEPs or 504 plans in the King County area.
Program Mission: The youth program serves children with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their families, provides after-school programs and activities, and helps youth develop positive social-emotional skills.

Friendship Circle is delivered with twice-a-week virtual engagement sessions and once-a-month in-person engagement programming for the youth and their families.

During engagement programming, snacks are provided. Youth also have access to at home learning supplies, and materials to continue learning at home.

Once a month, we have engagement programming field trips to provide access to meaningful experiences to our youth and their families.
