YOUTH WHO ARE
Focuses on serving homeless single mothers who are:
- Extremely low income (below 30% AMI)
- Age 16-17 at time of program entry
- At least six months pregnant or who have one or two children
Accepts those with a criminal record on a case by case basis.

Program Overview
Operates a transitional housing program for up to eight homeless single mothers and their children.
Clients are offered:
- Housing and housing search services
- Case management
- Life skills/parent education
- Counseling
- Substance abuse services
- Referral to childcare and educational/vocational programs
Residents may stay for up to 18 months with a possible extension up to two years as necessary.
Must be in school or working at least 20 hours per week.
Helps clients get connected to financial assistance programs, such as TANF.

Visit site to pick up the application package and read the handbook in agency office.
Documents Required:
- Completed application
- Proof of homelessness (eviction notice, letter from shelter)
- Proof of employment or school enrollment/attendance
- Proof of income (pay stubs, DSHS award letter)
- Birth certificate (mother and child) and/or other document showing legal status
- Social Security card (mother and child)
- Provider One card
- WA Apple Health (Medicaid) card or insurance card
- Criminal history must be included on application
- Driver's license/state ID and any second piece of photo ID
Applications are kept on file for six months.
