Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorder Counseling Services

Supports youth and their families to treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorders. Provides a comprehensive assessment of the substance use disorder in the context of a youth's mental health. Group programs include: AWARE, a weekly program for youth and parents to better understand substance use and addiction. Youth and parent groups are run separately, at the same time. Seven Challenges is a weekly group for youth in treatment that uses group interaction and journaling. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Group offers a 16-week group for youth dealing with intense emotions, impulse control, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts or self-harming behavior. Recovery Group offers a weekly group to youth developing skills to live a sober life. Alcohol Drug Education Class (ADEC) is offered one Saturday per month for youth and their parents. Uproads is a year-round teen program providing opportunities to engage in fun, social and sober activities.
