IAWW was established in 1984 to serve the needs of the local Indo American community and foster its mission, "to connect, serve and empower the Asian Indian community of Western Washington." Our primary approach is operation of regular pop-up community centers in North Bellevue, Kirkland, Sammamish, Issaquah, Redmond and Kent. These include senior wellness classes and presentations, free legal clinics, a women's career mentoring program, inter-generational lunches, a youth leadership program and early learning groups for parents and their children. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, our programs had a combined attendance of approximately 890 per week. Since then, our programming has been successfully moved to online platforms.
