Teenagers Plus (Tiplus_WA) is an African indigenious community led organization promoting Positive Youth Development in King County. Our Core population focus is the immigrant community of East African descent living in Washington state. Based in King County with outreaches in Pierce County, we offer holistic and culturally responsive programs and services which promote social integration, economic empowerment, cultural competency and inclusivity through civic and policy advocacy. The African immigrant community in general faces disproportional socio-economic disparities through social, historic and systemic barriers they must negotiate to achieve somewhat leveled social entry points as immigrants.
