Program Overview
Each year, Bike Works partners with dozens of schools and community organizations to identify hundreds of low income families who have children ages 4 – 18 in need of a working bike and helmet. Youth bike giveaways are ongoing, as-needed, and target SE Seattle communities.
If you are a youth between the ages of 9-18, we encourage you to join us in our signature Earn-a-Bike program so you can take a class in order to build your own bike to keep!

Classes run quarterly, are sliding scale (no one is turned away for a lack of funds), and allow youth to pick out a bike to build up and also grant access to free weekly bike repair sessions to keep your ride running, or to build more bikes, as well as free community bike rides until you turn 18.
