• Social distancing between musicians is not required, however 3 feet between musicians will be maintained to the extent possible.
• Limiting number of people who can be in a space (beyond the physical capacity of a given room or the restrictions imposed by the facility) is not
required
• Health screenings upon entrance are not required
• Continue to require face coverings /masks even for those who are fully vaccinated (two weeks from completing the vaccine series).
• Highly encourage all eligible students (12 years and older) to be vaccinated
• Brass & woodwind players will need to use appropriate bell covers
• Provide adequate ventilation
• Monitor students/staff/faculty for symptoms of COVID-19 and following all proper procedures if someone becomes sick

• Provide information to public health officials if there is a COVID-19 outbreak
SYSO will take the following additional measures beyond what is recommended by the Washington State Department of Health to mitigate the risks of the coronavirus:
• Require all staff and teaching faculty to be vaccinated (unless they are granted a valid exemption and instead will need to provide a
negative COVID test when teaching for SYSO)

• Valid medical and religious exemptions will be considered but not guaranteed.
