Program focus is on students of African American descent who attend Garfield High School (GHS).
GPA is recommended to be 3.0 or higher but may be overlooked on a case-by-case basis.

Program Overview
Recruits African American freshman who have the desire to accelerate their learning potential and prepare for post-secondary education.
Places students in Honors level core classes their freshman and sophomore years, preparing students for Advanced Placement classes (AP) during their junior and senior years which prepares them for future success at a four-year university.
Offers individualized college readiness support during junior and senior years, which has resulted in a 100% college acceptance rate.
Provides academic and social support and incentives during all four years of high school.
Offers an after school academic support session and more.
