To be eligible, the student must be a girl of color who attends Cleveland High School, Rainier Beach High School or Foster High School.

Program Overview
Young Queens of Seattle/King County is a personal development program for African American girls. Many areas of development are covered through various activities including work around raising self-esteem, attitudes toward drugs and alcohol, effective communication, mental control and academic performance.
The Young Queens of Seattle’s foundation is based on mentorship as an intervention for at-risk pre-teens assisting in shaping/changing attitudes associated with participating in destructive behavior. The goal of this program is to positively promote academic success by raising self and mental awareness of unique gifts and talents in the pursuit of realizing fullest potential while accomplishing goals and teaching youth how to make good choices in life.

2 staff for every 20 youth
Health & Safety
During the 2020-2021 school year, we were offering programming via Zoom. We are currently offering in-person instruction at Cleveland High School, Rainier Beach High School, and Foster High School.
