The Garage, a Teen Cafe

The Garage attracts teens throughout the Issaquah School District and surrounding area. It was developed with a shared community agreement that youth need a place to meet and connect with friends, participate in activities designed by their peers, and enjoy their teen years in a safe, welcoming, and nourishing place. Teens thrive in their autonomy and have access to community services and the opportunity to learn to become their own best advocates. Elevating youth voices is also a priority for the Garage. Our diverse population of youth now has a platform to provide panel discussions on the topics that matter to them like mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, and substance use disorder.
