YOUTH WHO ARE
Most of the children in the program attend the school which they are located in, unless they provide transportation to the program. Launch is unable to provide transportation.
Program Overview
Launch provides a before and after-school program onsite at Hawthorne Elementary for children in grades K-5 and full-time enrichment programs during school breaks. The program includes engaging enrichment activities, social-emotional learning, homework assistance, nutritious snacks, outdoor play and other activities geared toward students' social-emotional and academic development. During school breaks, full day care is offered.
Our program includes remote learning support, virtual field trips, enrichment activities, and outdoor play. Our schedule allows time each day for nutritious snacks, academic work, outdoor play, and engaging enrichment activities. The school year focuses on building strong teacher-child relationships as well as the child’s academic, emotional, and life skills. We offer each child a safe physical and emotional space to help them develop a grounded and strong sense of self.

Launch teachers collaborate with one another as well as with public school teachers to create lesson plans that maximize enrichment learning. We incorporate teacher feedback and observations to identify student needs and plan activities with specific learning objectives that support each child while remaining fun and inclusive for everyone.

The registration packet is available in English and Spanish, and translation and interpretation services are available in an additional 20+ languages. Required Forms & Documents
A completed registration form is required before a child can attend. We also require immunization records, which may either be completed in the packet or emailed separately as a PDF file to [email protected]. Immunization records emailed to us must be complete Certificate of Immunization Status forms from the Washington IIS (Immunization Information System) or from your child’s healthcare provider. These forms are all available on our website at www.launchlearning.org/for-families/forms.
