Program Overview
The Adolescent Center provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary health care for issues specific to the teen years. We use a team approach in providing care, and families are included as an important part of the treatment program.
The Adolescent Center is staffed with board-certified adolescent medicine doctors, child and adolescent psychologists, a consulting child and adolescent psychiatrist, pediatric and psychiatric nurse practitioners, and master level therapists.
Treatment specialties include:
- Adolescent growth and puberty
- Coping with chronic illness
- Gender affirming health care. For gender care, we see children of all ages.
- Medical conditions that overlap with moods and emotions
- Menstrual problems
- School concerns
- Sexual and reproductive health care including birth control, and sexually transmitted infections
- Weight, eating, and body image concerns
Services include:
- Medical evaluation and treatment
- Medication managementPsychological evaluation and assessment
- Psychotherapy for teens and their families
