Unable to serve those convicted of a level II or level III sex offense.
No drug use allowed in shelter.
Participants not turned away for being under the influence as long as they can follow shelter rules.

Location is mobility accessible, however staff can not provide physical assistance getting in and out of chairs, beds, chairs, toilets, showers, etc. Clients must be able to do so themselves.

Program Overview
Provides 18 transitional beds. Eligible clients can remain in the program for an extended period while on-site case management assists them in identifying and working towards educational and employment goals and transitioning into long-term stable housing. Maintains an additional two to five beds for any young adult in an emergency, on a "sign up" basis.

Applicants must get their name on the 5-slot signup sheet at the front desk of the Orion Center during shelter signup hours to hold a bed for that night.Eligible clients can remain in the program for an extended period and do not need to submit their name each night.
First-time participants: Visit the Orion Center during shelter signup hours to complete an intake form; complete instructions for accessing shelter provided at intake.
Previously registered members: Call and leave a voicemail including first name, middle initial and last name. Applicants will be randomly placed on the list from the voicemails.
If more youth have signed up for emergency shelter beds than there are beds available, a lottery will be done by a shelter staff member at 6pm, the end of shelter signup hours.
The initials of all guests who have beds for that night will be posted on the shelter door and will also be available by calling the shelter phone after 6:15pm.
Accepted applicants must arrive at the shelter at 8:30pm.
Documents Required: Government issued photo ID. If client does not have ID, call (206) 622-5555, M-F, for information on ID runs.
