Program Overview
School-based health center services are coordinated by Public Health–Seattle & King County. Several community health care partners are part of a system that operates school-based health centers at over 30 elementary, middle and high schools, We provide nearly 50,000 health care visits annually. Our Mental Health Services include:
- Assessments
- Counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues
- Referral to mental health
- substance abuse services In addition to addressing health care concerns
We also promote good health for a lifetime through good nutrition education, supportive relationships, and reinforcement of positive self-images. School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are operated by a system of community health care partners and agencies to deliver health services to schools in King County.
