Program Overview
Band of Brothers (BoB) is a youth mentoring course offered at no cost to families and in partnership with Vashon Island School District to all Vashon boys grades 4 through 12.
Piloted spring term of the 2020 school year and scaled to serve the broader Vashon community during COVID, BoB engages youth through mentorship, peer-to-peer leadership, and hybrid-learning online and outdoors.
Through weekly in-person meet-ups, digital group calls, and age appropriate challenges that help boys navigate these turbulent times, BoB encourages a sense of purpose and belonging, cultivating deep bonds between peers, mentors, and elders in the community.
